Postgraduate Programme Monitoring
The monitoring procedure for official programmes aims to ensure compliance with the academic project in the curriculum. The monitoring is undertaken within the framework of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SGIQ) through the bodies set out in UIB regulations (quality supervisor, CGQ, etc.).
Monitoring for official programmes, included every year in the Annual Monitoring and Assessment Report (IAS), requires formal mechanisms to collect and analyse information regarding different aspects of qualifications (stakeholder group satisfaction, graduate employability, quantitative indicators for training programme development, etc.) that is quantitatively and qualitatively impartial and objective. This information is used for public analysis and accountability for programme implementation.
Internal programme monitoring undertaken within the SGIQ framework is supplemented by external assessment performed by a quality agency which, for the UIB, is the University Quality Agency of the Balearic Islands (AQUIB).
