Could an aim have more than one improvement action?
Where new actions are included in the same aim, a new code must be used. In this instance, there are different options:
a) Add the new action at the end of the improvement plan, repeating the improvement aim and listing the new improvement action with the corresponding serial number.
Example:
Identifier | Improvement Aim | Improvement Action |
---|---|---|
MXXX-AdM-01 | Improve the information published on the website | Include the language of instruction for subjects |
MXXX-AdM-02 | Publish the pending course guides | |
MXXX-AdM-03 | Increase the participation percentage for lecturer evaluation surveys by 2% | Propose an individual calendar for implementing surveys to SEQUA and the CEP |
MXXX-AdM-04 | Improve the information published on the website | Include participation dates in the surveys |
b) Add the new action to an aim already included in the improvement plan, listing the new improvement action with the corresponding serial number for the last action in the improvement plan. Even if the codes are out of sequence, the original coding must be maintained and the new improvement actions be identified with the corresponding serial number.
Example:
Identifier | Improvement Aim | Improvement Action |
---|---|---|
MXXX-AdM-01 | Improve the information published on the website | Include the language of instruction for subjects |
MXXX-AdM-02 | Publish the pending course guides | |
MXXX-AdM-03 | Include participation dates in the surveys | |
MXXX-AdM-04 | Increase the participation percentage for lecturer evaluation surveys by 2% | Propose an individual calendar for implementing surveys to SEQUA and the CEP |
